Throughout 2010, Andy takes on the huge task of renovating a house and sees incredible success (and lots of dirt!)! (I'm sorry this picture is not more flattering, but he did spend many days looking just like this)
Together, we love life in Colorado Springs and although our year can be described in one word "limbo" (not the game) we know God is in control. Together, we love our Wilson more than we thought possible....and together we spend another year learning to love one another better.
December 2010: We celebrate 4 years of marriage in Mazatlan, Mexico!
November 2010: We visit our best friends who have just moved to Kansas City for Thanksgiving and have a great time!
October 2010: Wilson celebrates his second birthday at the Bear Creek Dog Park and Wag n- Wash :)
October 2010: We put 1201 E. Las Animas up for sale as we have made the decision to move to Castle Rock, which is halfway between Andy's and Celina's workplaces.
September 2010: Andy gets his job at CoBank after 14 months of unemployment! We are beyond overjoyed at how perfect of a fit this job is! (This was actually taken on vacation, since I couldn't go to work with him to get a good shot)
September 2010: Betsy comes to town for a few days and we enjoy that thoroughly!
August 2010: We move into 1201 E. Las Animas after months of renovations!
July 2010: Celina brings in her third batch of Moody scholarship recipients who are graduates of Compassion International's programs. We retreat in the mountains with them and have a great "Welcome to the USA" party! (Only three of them pictured below are in the third batch, the rest have come here in 2008 and 2009.)
July 2010: Celina runs her first marathon! Her mom surprises her by coming and cheering her on. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!" (Yes, I wore the medal for about 3 days...)
June 2010: We travel to Wyoming with the Baldwin's to meet some long lost relatives and attend the Page Family reunion. We spend the weekend on a farm: shooting guns, riding horses and eating like kings. Even though we have just met everyone, it was really like spending time with family. We loved it!
May 2010: We purchase a home that requires complete renovation and Andy spends the next 5 months tearing down, building up and creating a custom renovated home for us! Unfortunately, none of these pictures do this remodel justice..... Andy did an incredible job!
April 2010: We travel to NJ, Rochester, and DC to see our families. What a great time we had with all!
March 2010: We attempt our first garden. Unfortunately, it was cut short by our move, but we did get some chives, cilantro, and zucchini before we left it to die.
February 2010: After years of craziness, my parents spend a few months in intense counseling and make the incredible decision to renew their marriage vows. An awesome celebration and an amazing time of fellowship was had as we celebrated Pioneer Woman style, lots of food and country attire! This celebration was a little bittersweet, since they also moved to NJ shortly after this to take jobs on an alpaca farm.
January 2010: Andy gets a job offer with a company in Yakima, Washington. We travel to the city and then onto Seattle to visit the Calhoon's. As we are just finishing looking at houses in Yakima, Celina gets a call from Compassion that confirms what they were feeling- staying in Colorado Springs is what God intends for their lives. Andy turns down the job, and continues his search.
