So, being that Vaughn is 5, 6 or 10 years old, and not in fact 4 1/2, we decided that we had better start getting him some education. We found a great private, Christian school here in town and the Kindergarten class had room for him and only 7 other kids in the class, so we signed him up. Since kids his (actual) age will be selecting colleges soon, we figured its best he learn how to read and write.
Anyway, he had his first day last week. You will notice a discrepancy in the date I wrote on the paper and the date the camera thinks it is. We'll go ahead and go with the camera, since it didn't recently get it's life turned upside down with raising two kids.
You will be happy to know that Vaughn LOVES school. He gets up every morning while I lay in bed and pray for 3 or 6 more hours of sleep, he gets dressed, makes his bed, brushes his teeth, washes up and comes in my room and says, "Mama, I'm finished. School." He is so excited about his backpack, his 'lunch backpack', the papers he brings home and his teacher. She says he is really smart and observant and catches on really quick. It seems like we are seeing some introvert tendencies with Vaughn. While he loves people, he also seems to tire quickly of being around a lot of them and his teacher says that he is pretty quiet in class (which, could be for a hundred reasons, the least of not which could be the fact that he doesn't speak their language fluently).
While Vaughn is away learning at an institution, Eloise is home practicing how to lose friends and influence math. Our future nerd:

In order for Elouise to be a nerd, she needs a pocket protector, Celina. But in my wildest imagination, I can't imagine her being a nerd. So glad that Vaughn is enjoying school. Just wait until he learns our language fluently....he will be flying by his classmates.
