Mom & Pap

Vaughn has an interesting new habit of shortening words and creating his own lingo (I'm telling you, this kid is cool!). We really don't know where to attribute this habit except to his own unique Vaughn-ness.

He recently decided that I am no longer "Mama" (so long lovely name...) and am now just plain ol' MOM and Andy is no longer "Papa" but suddenly PAP (pop) (which has it's own special ring to it, if you ask me).

On another, not so pleasant note (please discontinue reading if you do not like bathroom-type talk or if you are generally not interested in slang words referring to body parts). The word the kids came with for poop is "caca" (pronounced KAka). Vaughn has recently shortened this to...yup you guessed is just 'cac' which sounds a lot like a slang term for a male body part. We're hoping to curb this one before he says it at school or something and I will gladly trade Mama for Mom if I never have to hear it again.
