The other day, the kids wanted to look at their Africa book (the book I made of our life to take to Africa) after dinner.
They went and got the book and were paging through it, laughing and talking about each photo when Vaughn saw the photo I had taken of his room. He looked at Eloise and said, "Look at our room. It's clean in this picture, but it's not clean now. We need to go clean our room."
Children and book head to the bedroom and proceed to spend the next HOUR cleaning their room. On their own. With no direction. With no instructions. Taking things out from under the bed. Taking things out of the closet. Reorganizing. Instructing one another on proper cleaning techniques. Never once asking for help.
We actually had to tell them they only had a few more minutes because it was almost bed time. They were understandably proud of themselves and asked us to close our eyes and then come see. It was seriously amazing.
